Vetter Mini Lifting Bags

Rectangular low-profile rescue bags — proven worldwide for lifting, pushing, pressing, prising and splitting. Special safety coupling, optimised surface for slippery terrain.

Vetter Feuerwehrtechnik GmbH — Germany

Vetter Mini Lifting Bags are the proven worldwide standard. The rectangular shape fits deeper into narrow openings than square bags and provides a large stable contact area — safe for lifting thin-walled structures such as truck frames. EN 13204 certified.

Mini bags are ideal when you need to reach into narrow gaps, split structural members or lift loads where a large flat contact area is required. The anti-slip surface profile ensures reliable performance on sand, grass, wet road or inclines. Available in 15 sizes — 8 bar operating pressure, from 1 tonne to 68 tonnes.

Why Vetter Mini Bags — The Rescue Case

Vetter Mini lifting bags are the proven worldwide standard for rescue teams that require high lift force in locations where a full-size bag physically cannot be placed. The rectangular profile is the defining advantage: it allows the bag to slide deeper into a narrow opening than any square bag of comparable capacity, providing both greater insertion depth and a more stable contact area under the load. This makes mini bags particularly effective at door and window frame extrication, motorcycle and compact car rescue, and split-force lifting where two bags must be inserted side by side in a confined vehicle underbody.

Available in 15 sizes from 1 tonne to 68 tonnes — all at 8-bar operating pressure — the Vetter Mini range covers every rescue scenario from a first responder lifting a motorcycle off a road casualty to a USAR team lifting a floor slab during a building collapse. The anti-slip dimple surface profile on all models ensures reliable contact on wet road surfaces, sandy desert terrain and inclined surfaces, which is a critical operational consideration for fire brigades and civil defence teams working across the UAE and wider GCC region.

Despite carrying up to 68 tonnes of lift capacity, the smallest models are extraordinarily compact. The 1-tonne bag weighs just 0.5kg and can be carried in a coat pocket for immediate deployment without returning to the appliance. This makes mini bags an essential personal carry tool for incident commanders and first-on-scene rescue technicians, supplementing larger bag sets that may still be in transit to the scene.

Compact Range (1T–10T) — Pocket-Deployable

The five smallest models in the Vetter Mini range — 1T, 3T, 5T, 6T and 10T — represent the true compact carry set. At under 3.3kg for the largest of these (10T), they can be taken to the immediate scene by one person without additional carrying equipment. They connect instantly to any Vetter controller through the standard quick-coupling safety coupling, inflate in seconds from a single breathing air cylinder, and generate lift force disproportionate to their size.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much can a Vetter mini bag lift?
Up to 68 tonnes in the largest model (68T, 950×950mm). The compact range (1T to 10T) is most commonly deployed for first-response rescue and confined space scenarios, while mid-range (12T to 40T) and large (54T and 68T) models serve industrial plant recovery, rail rescue and heavy USAR operations.
What spaces are Vetter mini bags designed for?
Aircraft galleys and cabins, confined machinery spaces, compact and low-clearance vehicles, door and window frame rescue, and any situation where a full-size S-TEC or C-TEC bag cannot physically be inserted. The rectangular profile of the 12T and 35L models slides deeper into narrow openings than square bags of equivalent capacity.
Are mini bags compatible with standard Vetter pneumatic controllers?
Yes — all Vetter Mini bags use the same standard quick-coupling pneumatic fittings as the full Vetter range (S-TEC, C-TEC, Ultra Flat, Ultra-Thin). They are fully controlled by the standard twin-valve controller and deadman (pressure guard) controller. No adapters are required to use mini bags alongside full-size bags from the same air supply.
How light are Vetter mini bags?
The 1T model weighs 0.5kg — light enough to carry in a coat pocket for immediate deployment. All models up to 10T are under 3.3kg and can be carried in one hand without additional equipment. Even the 68T model at 20.7kg can be transported by two people, making the entire range deployable without mechanical handling equipment at the rescue scene.
Why is the rectangular shape important in mini bags?
A rectangular bag can be inserted further into a narrow opening than a square bag of the same surface area. This is critical in door frame rescue, window extrication and vehicle underbody scenarios where the access gap is narrow but deep. The rectangular profile also distributes load along a longer contact edge, providing better stability under structures with curved or uneven undersides.
