All C-TEC bags are compatible with Vetter controllers and standard compressed air sources including cylinders, compressors and vehicle air connections. Tool-free connection allows 2 or more bags to be ready for deployment in seconds.
Most rescue lifting bags trade off between two variables: working pressure (which determines lifting force) and lifting height (which determines how far a load can be raised). High-pressure mini bags deliver enormous force in a compact flat profile but only lift a few centimetres. Classic 1-bar bags can lift 30–40 cm but lack the raw force of high-pressure designs. The C-TEC is Vetter's answer to this compromise.
The C-TEC operates at 12 bar — the same pressure as the S-TEC high-performance bags — giving it a very high starting lift capacity. But its cylindrical design allows it to expand vertically far beyond what flat high-pressure bags can achieve. The C-TEC 30 lifts to 27.5 cm, the C-TEC 75 to 43.5 cm, and the flagship C-TEC 172 to a full 69 cm — comparable to 1-bar bags, at 12 bar pressure.

Choose C-TEC when you need significant lifting height alongside high force — for example, raising heavy vehicles enough to allow extrication access, or lifting structural loads through a larger stroke. Request a QuoteThe number in each C-TEC model name — 30, 75, 172 — refers to the maximum starting lift capacity in tonnes. This is the force the bag exerts at the very beginning of inflation, when it is at its lowest height. Capacity decreases as the bag extends to full height (7 t, 12 t, and 15 t respectively at full stroke). Always size your bag selection on the working load at the expected height of use, not just the peak start capacity.
Both the C-TEC and S-TEC operate at 12 bar. The S-TEC is a flat rectangular bag optimised for very low insertion height (ideal when ground clearance is the primary constraint). The C-TEC is cylindrical — it has a greater insertion height (6.9–11.5 cm vs ~4 cm for S-TEC) but can extend to a much greater lifting height: 69 cm for the C-TEC 172 versus 31.5 cm for the largest S-TEC. Choose C-TEC when you need both high force and significant stroke; choose S-TEC when the priority is getting under a load with minimal clearance.
Yes. C-TEC bags feature a tool-free connection system that allows multiple bags to be daisy-chained and controlled from a single Vetter controller. Two bags can be connected and ready for deployment in seconds without any adaptors or tools. Using two bags together doubles the effective lifting capacity at any given height, making tandem operation practical for very heavy loads such as large vehicles or structural elements.
C-TEC bags operate at 12 bar working pressure and are compatible with standard compressed air sources: high-pressure breathing air cylinders, dedicated rescue compressors, vehicle air connections, or portable air systems. They connect via standard Vetter pneumatic fittings and are controlled using a Vetter 2- or 4-circuit controller. The larger C-TEC 172 requires more air volume to inflate fully — a 300-bar 6.8 litre cylinder is the typical minimum for a single inflation cycle.
